anyone been to a show there? (i think i'm going to see the phenomenauts play in a few weeks) is it real small inside? and do they have a drink minimum?
yeah, I've never experienced a drink minimum there. And I would say that it's big for a bar, small for a concert venue, but I've never felt overly packed in there. Of course, I also haven't been there for a loooooong time, but I doubt it's changed.
Its decent size if it were just a bar but tiny for a concert venue in my opinion. We went there several months ago to see my husband friends band, Sathanas and I was feeling kinda panicy because there were so many people crammed in to a tiny space. I hated it. I would go there just to hang out at a bar but I don't want to go back for any shows sadly.
Just got this email reply so I'm a bit late but I wasn't accusing anyone of claiming it to be a concert venue so no need to get butt-hurt about it. it's a nice bar just way too small when they have a show that gets really crowded. It's a very unique and awesome place and I'd go there on a night there aren't bands in a heart-beat. Well that's if I were into the bar scene but I grew out of that a while ago and only go out to bars once in a while.
Either way hope whoever goes there enjoys themselves. I would have had a better experience when I went if it weren't so crowded and if the people who were right in front of me knew how to use deodorant. lol

If you want gentility and civilization, it is not the place for you. I mean that as a compliment to the Pub.
