Moving Boxes?

Mar 02, 2009 16:08

Does anyone have any good moving boxes for sale? I'm located in Etna/North Hills area, so I'd prefer boxes closer to me. I also work in the McKnight Road area, so I'd be willing to meet people there.

places: etna, places: north hills, moving

When do you need them by, how big/many, and do you mind if it's a hodge podge of Corporate Express delivery boxes? I'm moving in the next few weeks and I'll happily just give you all of my boxes when I'm done.

We're looking to move in the next few weeks as well. I need a lot of boxes. We're moving a small but decently sized house. Are they regular ol' cardboard boxes like the kind you get from Uhaul? Thanks so much!

They're smaller than U-Haul boxes, which makes them perfect for things like books and movies where you don't want to have too many in a single box due to weight issues.

I'll keep this post in mind when I'm getting ready to start moving and let you know what's up with boxes.

Good luck!

go to wine and spirit shops and ask for boxes. you'll get a lot for free.

also go around to wal-marts etc., they also give them away.

Sometimes the state liquor stores will give you boxes. For free.

They're not free, but they have a LOT of really heavy duty and specific size boxes (e.g. wardrobe, TV, etc.) and other supplies in their warehouse. Very cheap boxes.

I second the liquor stores for boxes. They're great to hold cups and such. Go down to Starbucks on McKnight on Tuesday afternoon. They'll give you a ton, too. Grocery stores will do the same with produce boxes and such whenever they get their orders.

If you go this route, the Starbucks, ask them what time they would be done putting away the order...because trust me that they wont wait long. Back rooms are notoriously small and it's just a bitch to go around boxes for a long long time.

They're usually done around 8 pm or so.

Forgot to say, just make sure you ask before they're done because otherwise they'll rip the boxes down as they go.
