Are there any places in Pittsburgh that need volunteers for the Thanksgiving holiday? I'd love to help out.

holidays: thanksgiving, charity, volunteering

I think the Rainbow Kitchen in Homestead does Thanksgiving dinners, so you could give them a call: http://rainbowkitchen.org/

They accept volunteers for holidays only. (They'll take volunteers they can get any day.)

ETA - I meant they will accept volunteers who only wish to work a holiday.

I remember I volunteered years ago on Thanksgiving at Light of Life on the North Side. Although, they did tell me that so many people offer to volunteer on the actual holiday(s), that they usually had too many. Maybe if that is the case, see if you can volunteer on another day around the holiday.
