indoor free public wifi in oakland, open late?

Greetings kind burgh-folk, my wife and I just moved into a great place in northern Oakland (at least I think that's what where we are would be referred to as, near St. Paul's) and we're patiently waiting for our DSL to get set up. Panera has free wifi, if you're not averse to chains.

Thank you! I came across that post in my initial tag search but figured since it had been a while and I was specifically looking for places open into the evening it might merit another post.

You can sign up for a library card and use the CLP's wireless or use their computers.

Thanks! I need to get some stuff together to prove residency to get a card, but for now the librarian was nice enough to give me a guest access number - woot!
