pro-choice volunteering

I want to volunteer for some sort of pro-choice organization. The only one I've been able to find is Planned Parenthood, and I filled out their online volunteer application over a month ago and they've yet to get back to me. In the past, I've volunteered for various state affiliates of NARAL, but the PA one seems to be based in Philadelphia. Any ( Read more... )

I believe you are correct - PP's online application system appears to be not working. And they certainly seem eager for volunteers :) I'm glad to hear that you found volunteering for them to be rewarding. Hopefully I'll have a similar experience!

I'll second the Allegheny Repro idea. Back when I was a clinic escort (and, admittedly, this was close to 20 years ago) we all volunteered via the clinic itself.

I used to volunteer with Planned Parenthood as well and found it to be a good experience. They were very eager to integrate volunteers into their operations. I second giving them a call and seeing what's up. Just ask to be connected to the Volunteer Coordinator.

I was a volunteer for NARAL, I just went to the clinic and talked to the other escorts that were there.

A few years back the E. Liberty clinic was more active (it's not PP but they have escorts)
