i guess i see his writing as an incredible influence on today's internet media (blogs=gonzo), which in turn i see as my future.
i don't buy the conspiracy theories, comforting as they may be.
*sigh* who knows why he did it? of course, the so-called american dream is bullshit, but he's known that for a while. and he was in quite a lot of physical pain. but beyond that...
in the end, i suppose that as he was someone who broke all the rules abut how to live, and did what he wanted, it's fitting that he would break the rules about how to die and take it into his own hands, as much as we may despair over it...and it seems he's planned to kill himself for several years, or so his son says...
*sigh* i don't know. i just know the world is short one true rebel now.

My thoughts are that he lived. Like, really LIVED. Not many people can do that. He milked 67 years out of life, and lived it to his fullest every step of the way.
While it sucks that he's dead, I can see the logic behind what he did, especially knowing what he was like.
