A dream within a dream

I'm nuts. All cracked & nuts. After seeing the magical fairy tale ballet yesterday I bought tickets to the darker side of Tchaikovsky as well: the operas Eugene Onegin and the Queen of Spades. So far I've got 3 opera performances coming up in February alone. Vive la petite bourgeoisie ! Read: long live the student discount!

E.T.A on elänyt ennen Heinrichia, joka puolestaan sittemmin kekkasi Jöröjukan. Mäkin mietin tuota samaa nimittäin. Kaitpa tuo nimi Hoffman on Saksanmaalla vähän sama kuin Virtanen täällä...

Niin, voipa hyvinkin olla. Mitä "hoff" muuten mahtaakaan tarkoittaa?

En ole mikään Deutsch übermensch, mutta hovia/pihaa se der Hof yhdellä äffällä tarkoittaa. Ehkäpä sitten ääntämyksellisistä syistä kahdentuu joskus Hoff:ksi.
