I saw Deerhunter at the Paradise Rock Club the other night and swear the lead singer is Stephen Hawking's kid!

That guy is soooo emaciated too! I saw him with his other band (Atlas Sound) at SXSW this year and couldn't believe how skin and bones he was!

Seriously! He's also a big flamer also but they rocked the house! How was Atlas Sound? I'm jealous you went to SXSW. Was it a fun time or did you feel frustrated trying to go from venue to venue seeing bands? I've heard it's difficult to get into places of bands you want to see. I've done the Austin City Limits Festival in September and that is truly awesome although 100 deg. weather is a bitch!

SXSW is *insane* how many bands are there and playing simultaneously. You end up ADD - seeing just a couple of songs of a band and moving on to another one so that you can see as many as possible. Getting into places can be hard too, but the upside is there are 100 choices at any time so there's always a good backup. I'd def recommend going!
