Hmmm Interesting... I like what I am hearing...
They get a ton of bonus points for a band in 1999 using a Wurlitzer and Mellotron (unless my ears deceive me)

No sir, they do not! That's Tim Christensen, another Danish musician friend of the band, who specializes in vintage instruments. I'd like to think my subject had a hand in encouraging them in that direction, traditionalist that he is.

the reason Kashmir worked with James was because Sony Europe A&R Consultant Annie Roseberry tracked him down having worked with him in the 80s. They had worked on an album by an artist called Andrew Caine together. She had originally sent the Kashmir demos to Gilmour but he had passed and it was then that she remembered James and tracked him down. They remet at the top of the mountain in Lake Tahoe! THe good Life is an amazing undiscovered gem which stands the test of time. The band spent several weeks in Das Boot which they named. Kashmir have recently found moderate success in Japan and Australia and have a devoted and fanatical following. They were actually much more ROCK before the Good Life and became more electronic after the Good Life. originaly influenced by the Chilli Peppers but with touches of PF never far away. They also have similarities to the Dave Matthews Band at times.

Is that you, Jon Schumann?
Well, whoever you are, thanks for the info! I had a feeling there was some kind of prior connection involved because that how most of the projects James has worked on have come to be. At least now when we discuss it I'll be better-informed; my gratitude to you for that.

The few things I'd heard pre-TGL seemed to indicate they weren't as traditional rock, but I appreciate the clarification.

Yes I was aware of that, thanks, his specific participation was courtesy of JG as they were long-time friends/colleagues by that time.
