I feel like an idiot! As much as I loved this @ nuke_anon, I didn't make the RPS connection. Duhhhh, and also -- WOW. Just phenomenal.

Well, I didn't want to make it too obvious in case it weirded out some readers. Thanks again!

Wow... Even though you never mention Luke's name his presense is starkly felt... This is an incredible insight into Noah's mind...

Yay! That's what I was going for. Luke's absence is taking over Noah's life just as much as if he were physically there. So glad you liked it! I love writing Noah.

There is no such thing as "late" when reading fic!

I see Noah's dip into the dark side a result of living in a totally different place than where he was comfortable. He's being influenced by the people and culture around him, wanting to fit in because he just wants to get on with his life and figures if he goes with the flow he'll acclimate sooner. It doesn't work like that of course, but he's just pushing it, trying and trying until something gives. And once he realizes he's made a huge mistake, living in a fantasy world, he kind of goes off the rails.

Sad, misguided Noah. But you are right, it's a delicious place to play!

I've got some things incubating right now, they're nothing more than an amuse-bouche right now, but we'll see how it goes.

Thanks! And I'm over the moon that you dig this 'verse!
