I'm not a Brit, but I visited the Lake District one summer, and its clean, fresh huge-mountain beauty reminded me a lot of the (Think kinda like the opening shots in The Sound of Music where Maria is singing in the green mountain field.) Also, William Wordsworth ("wandered lonely as a cloud" poet) had a cottage there--quite an inspirational place to write.

But this is in the holiday season when its bbbbrrrrrrrrrr COLD
I'm afraid our Boys are going to Freeze their Nesseh and Weasel right off!

The Lake District is very beautiful and probably pretty quiet and restful over Christmas/New Year. It will be cold, but probably not snowy, so they can snuggle up by a log fire and then if they get bored maybe go out and shoot defenceless animals like last year(although they won't have Elijah to dress up in ridiculous clothes).

Oh I mention that simply because they keep making a big deal about mentioning they like women. As I said to someone else, its strange that you never hear guys like George Clooney or Brad Pitt mention they like women and yet...

Well, ya know they probably wanted to enjoy the sights and shag in the cozy lake side setting cause its verrah romantic and ehm, they took friends and Bill's girlfriend I'm sure, cause they leik womin, so I'm sure it will be a lovely orgygood time for them not like that, cause they liek womin

And I'm sure they will enjoy the (ski?) snow? women in sweaters there, cause ya know, no one DOUBTS their heterosexuality. Hmm, I thought I wasn't gonna be a smarass...oh well. *giggles*
