One of my all-time favorite artists.  He has accompanied me through every phase and grow spurt--high school goth and punk, clueless undergrad, even-more clueless grad, lover, wife, mother, artist--and has weathered my changing appreciation of the world around.  Timeless

Wow. And sure enough I missed it. Mucha is my favourite artist too. ^.^ I got to go into the Mucha Museum in Prague a few years back and it was so awesome.

I think his way of depicting female character and his interpretation of nature are things that speak to me. And his art is so beautiful it makes me want to stare at it for hours.

Yes--he is everything I love about Art Nouveau. I think I need a Mucha userpic or two ;P

It's really nice, albeit a touch small. I only wish we'd had time to see the 'Slav epic' which is exhibited in the town hall or the glass painting after his design in the castle. But at least now I have an excuse to go again. ^.^

Me too. And have to try and get some of my Mucha posters on the walls, it has been over a year since my last move, after all. I got some from Prague and carried them on several trains but also there was a Mucha exhibition in the town I live a few years back, too. They had a real nice selection of the Sarah Bernhardt posters in that which are my special Mucha-favourites.
