I have taken on the project of scanning in the two suitcases full of letters that my parents left behind. It's taking forever, because I feel the need to read as I go. :-) Initially I read mostly my father's infatuated letters to my mother from 1954. I have a sizable collection of my parents letters.
some of them are funny, some are pretty weird- I knew them later in the game, so it's sort of strange to see who they were...

I've contemplated having kids just so that I'll know where to eventually pass the things on. Course they wouldn't get _my_ letters....

One of my favorites- weirdly enough- was one of my mother's.
I would have been less than a year old at the time.
Very spikey red pencil:

Wow. This must be fun. I doubt I will find letters like this after my parents pass on.

how interesting to go through the rabbit hole into that human part of your parents. I found a wedding picture of mine, no i'd never seen one before, last week and thought 'whoo, they were young' it must be both thrilling and nervracking, for you the child to go into those "private" parts of the parents. wow...
