If I don't take my Synthroid I get anxiety attacks, but that's because they're a symptom of my hypothyroidism, so I'd say no.

Wow, I never knew that hypothyroidism caused anxiety. I have been known to have anxiety attacks(not lately though). After chemo for cancer, I have hypothyroidism and take Levoxyl, so maybe that's why I am so calm! Hah!

It can cause anxiety -- in my case, not general, but anxiety attacks during PMS. Hypothyroidism presents as a symptom, most people get some, not all, of the symptoms. Most people gain weight, some don't, some lose. Some people get dry skin, some don't. Some people lose their libido when hyper. When I told deyo, after diagnosis, "Maybe after treatment's underway, my libido will increase," he looked terrified.
