Well, today is voting day and I'm not voting. I think this may be the only election I've missed since I first registered. I just can't get excited about voting in this primary. I'm not a party member, so I can't vote in the big contest (though I would vote for Obama if I was a Democrat), and at the local level there are a bunch of people running ( Read more... )

I wouldn't vote for Rob Handy. Ever. And no, I won't talk about why in public, but if you're ever curious, I will be happy to dish the dirt live and in person.

I am apparently a write-in candidate for the local City Council seat (C. really does not like the guy who's running unopposed; neither do I, but I just skipped that one).

On the one hand, wish I'd read this before I voted. On the other hand, this was not a race I was particularly invested in.

I didn't think Sheriff Schmick would sound right, though.

As my friend Heather pointed out, today I voted for:

a gay man for mayor,
a black man for president,
and a midget with a hook for a hand for senate.

Best election ever!
