Thanks for sharing the pictures. I wish I coulda come to the BBQ. I like the part about the Canadian toddlers--- either they're more advanced or the parents are more reckless.
ohhh i'm so sad i didn't know you were here - i would have loved to meet up at tilden or somewhere and see how big and grown up otto is! but i know you have tons of friends and family here... so i'm sure you were meeting up right and left. ; )
When we drove to Chico in April I felt like Shasta Lake was MUCH higher than it had been in the last few years. So yeah, low, but not as low as last year.
Maybe the Canadians use the metric system.

That would be neat if Canadians used the metric system for age. Let's see, well 1.5 Canadian years = 2 American years. So multiply your age by 0.75 and get your Canadian age.

I've seen Shasta Lake that low, but it was ages ago, the mid-seventies, mid-drought.
I'm going to be really sad when Mt. Shasta loses its glaciers.
