That's some kind of facetious Canadian humor.

See, this is why I could never keep a diary when I was little. Or big, or pretty much ever. At some point I'd get bored and stop writing for a while, and then I'd want to start again but I would always feel like my first entry back should contain everything I'd been up to since the last entry, and the thought of having to compose some big long ( Read more... )

Hello. I am all for the Mountie love. Inarticulate crush phase? Why yes, me too. Guh.

Mountie love!! And your icon is none too shabby. Hel-LO, salty goodness.

By the way - hello! Nice to meet you! I'm Pips. :)

Hee, nice to meet you too! I'm Morgan. ;) And as you know, your Fraser-as-Brian-Kinney has taken up comfy residence in my brain. Fic will most likely result. Thanks for loaning me the idea :D

(He must wear the hat in Babylon! I have no idea how that could work, but - Fraser wearing the mountie hat, in Babylon. I cannot get over that image.)

Gah, Vividcon deadline's driving me batty, sorry about the babble. Off to try exporting again. And since I somehow forgot in my first reply, (probably cause of pretty, pretty Fraser), happy birthday! And hey, that whole diary-as-form-of-intimidation thing, I have that too. Except I could never chuck them out, and instead have an entire shelf of diaries that only have the first few pages filled in. It's kind of depressing.

Fraser-as-Brian ... oh dear Lord. If you actually write this fic, my head might just explode. In a good way. :) I don't know what kind of crack I was smoking when my brain came up with that one, but now I must see it. MUST. And OMG yes, he wears the hat in Babylon! Because Justin just doesn't have the heart to tell him to take it off. Hee.

Good luck with the vid exporting! Can't wait to see it at VVC. And thank you for the birthday wishes. :)

welcome to the Mountie Love Boat. I am Morgan Dawn, and I'll be happy to show you around. Before this boat sailed, I finished my Vividcon premiere vid and have been re-watching Babylon 5 and Firefly (in anticipation of the fall movie).

Mountie Love Boat! Aye-aye, Cap'n! And a great big holy GUH to your icon. RAY!

I still have never seen B5 or Firefly. Isn't that sad? I've heard very good things about both, though. I'm going to try to watch FF before VVC, and B5 is in my Netflix queue (for, you know, sometime in the future when I actually sign up for Netflix).

Your premiere vid is Doctor Who, right? Yet another show that I know nothing about except that everyone says it's fantastic. Heh.

Too much TV, so little time. I'd suggest Dr Who after you finish Firefly - it is shorter than B5 (we're in year 4 right now).

Good RayV fic abounds - I like Kat Allison's Ray undercover (online) and Muriel Perun's fic (still in zine, may be online soon). I co-wrote a grim and intense post-apocolyptic RayV novel (it is online).

Will do. Is it okay to just jump in with the 2005 season, or do I need to watch older stuff first?

And thank you THANK YOU for the RayV recs! I've had a hard time finding RayV or F/V fic - almost everything I've stumbled across has been RayK or F/K. I will check those out post hasty.

Happy B-Day! :) I wish you lots and lots of your one very own Mountie. ;D I remember watching DS when it first aired and finding it fun, especially his dog. That was way before I knew about Fandoms. And I haven't watched it since. Gotta say, all the squeeing is making me curious. :)

Oh, it's a *very* fun show. Yes, there is angst, but most of the time dS functions as Comfort Food. Fraser loves Ray and Ray loves Fraser and All Is Right With The World. Plus - puppy! Okay, not so much "puppy" as snarky deaf wolf, but still.

You can buy Seasons 1 and 2 at Best Buy for about 40 bucks, combined. Or I could loan you my DVDs or burn copies for you. We will talk at VVC. tzikeh may hold the title of Show Pimper Extraordinaire, but I plan on giving her a run for her money. Hee!

Hey - I hear you are bringing a BSG vid this year. Just so you know, there will be squeeing and flailing and quite possibly some inappropriate groping grovelling from me. You have been warned. :)

Hehe, I look forward to the pimping--show love is always contagious. ;D

And yep, there is BSG auction-ness from my corner. If there turns out to be squeeing and flailing, I should warn you that there will be inevitably be bright-redness from me. Just so you know, hee--I do embarrassed (by good or bad means) very very well. ;}

I just cannot quite buy a mountie without a moustache...

Reply

pipsqueaky July 10 2005, 20:50:24 UTC
Well, he doesn't need the moustache, since he has a Stetson of Invulnerability. It protects him from all harm. Also, he has a widdle baby face *pinches his cute cheeks* and a moustache would hide his pretty pretty lips. He is the Clean-Shaven Mountie!

Wooohoo! dS! *dances you* yay omg

Hem, I too have been just recently enraptured by the mountie show. It does my heart good to see others filled with the new-fandom-squee.

New fandom! Squee! MOUNTIE! *sigh*

Thanks for the show of solidarity. Also, I just now read your Gunn Squee post and now my heart is all atwitter with Gunn love. Gunn! Yay! Why do I have no Gunn icon?

My best friend has just been introduced to Angel (via me, of course), and she is currently unspoiled in the middle of S1 and she LOVES it. So, new fandom squee all around. :)

I don't know?! Why don't I have a Gunn icon? Ach. We fail at fangirling Gunn.

I wish I was unspoiled and on AtS1. Sometimes I wish we had our brains on tape and could wipe the bits we wantedd to do again. Oh, no, that could lead to Red Dwarf type shenanigans. Forget that.
