Well, I'm okay with being the only "Meh"-er for now. Besides, my initial reaction to an episode almost never lines up with how I feel after watching it again and internalizing and deconstructing and reading other's opinions and so forth. So there's hope for this one yet.
Also? You damn slashers have corrupted me. When Spike and Angel were standing thisclose in the street, all I could think was "Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" ::sigh:: It's all your fault, you know. I blame your A/S manipulated boysex icon.
Glad to hear I'm not the only one who has issues with Andrew and Buffy and S7. And thanks for the gasoline truck imagery. I'll be happily dwelling on that for a while.
I get the season seven hate so much I just keep going "lalalala spike just mysteriously went from Africa to LA lalala S7 didn't happen, Kennedy who?" Though I do have the Andrew love after rewatching today there was a forcedness to him that didn't set well with me in either viewing. I think I said in my initial review that he was too BTVS and I think the writers did that intentionally. bleh. Though I loved the ep, still.
Oh man, am I ever with you on the lalalas. For me it's "Lalala Tara is alive, lalala Anya is, too, lalala Jonathan is, three, lalala Giles isn't a prick, lalala Xander has perfect depth perception, lalala what bathroom scene?"
I picked up on the Andrew forcedness too. Like you said, his style was too BtVS; he didn't seem to "mesh" with everyone else on the show. It was just kinda jarring. Plus, it was like the writers took every identifiable Andrew trait and multiplied it by a factor of 10. Dial it down, guys.
P.S. Love, love, love your icon. That is my absolute favorite picture of them. ::sniffle::
Heh. I take comfort in the fact that even though she is (unfortunately) still alive, Andrew never said that she and Willow were still together. So we can all agree that Willow dumped her 5 seconds after "Chosen" and now they are just work buddies. Yes. Yes, I like that very much.

Not alone with hating the fuck out of S7.
Not alone with wishing Angel and Spike would start defining themselves by something other than Buffy's Ex Vampire With A Soul Lover.
But afraid you're alone with the Meh. *G* I loved that episode like a fat kid love cake, to quote Annie SJ.

Well, I can agree with you about that being disagreeable, at least. ;-p
