The Matrix is high art

In my fine arts appreciation class yesterday, we watched the matrix. We were supposed to find elements of nostalgia. I found H4X0R5 and dial up internet. Apparently I was supposed to find the "chosen one" theme. You know, like in Star Wars, or Christianity, or Eddy Murphy.

ah-a-ah-ahah I want the knife!... please!...

It seems to me that a lot of professors don't understand the difference between something that makes money and art. Or a cultural phenomenon, and art.

Now, if you want an action movie that is art, a money maker and a cultural phenomenon, you don't have to look at further than A Better Tomorrow.
