I always liked Snow White - although when I was younger I actually found some parts of the film really scary!

I watched it at the movies when I was like 5 or something, and when the Stepmother/which turned up, I flew down to hide behind my Dads legs ;)

Did you know Snow White is actually modelled after a waitress that Walt Disney himself encountered here at a restaurant in Winnipeg? I never knew that until I saw a documentary about his life a few years back. :)

I like Belle from Beauty and the Beast. A girl who knows her own mind, loves to read, take care of gardens, and doesn't care what other people think of her, she just is her own person and does her own thing. Plus she sees that beauty isn't just skin deep and that there are worthy things in everyone, despite their exterior appearance.

I have Belle up for today, as my favourite Heroine.
She is not a Prinsess to me but a heroine.

I guess that's true, Belle isn't a princess in the formal sense. I'm more familiar with the 80's - 90's Disney animated films which tended to feature less princesses than the older ones did so I don't really remember the older ones very well.
