I was just on the Nanowrimo website and for some reason I joined. I think I am a follower. Anyway, I am a bit excited about the idea but scared. I have a topic I have wanted to write about for years but getting my hands around the organization of it is scary. I am also terrified of writing a book like Sweet Valley Snotty Whores, or the

You joined! Good for you. My advice is to keep the plot simple and pad pad pad. Like make a character that has a middle name that always has to be part of the name like um... Jimmy Dean or Virginia Mae... that's an extra word every time their name is mentioned.
