I know, right? It's kinda hard to have much sympathy for Piper in his predicament (if I were him, I'd be trying to figure out how to choose both).

I decided that at some point Bart was watching South Park with the little ones without really thinking it through, and when they got to the Ginger episode it created problems. Because kids are mean, and I totally would have tried to convince my sister she was a soulless ginger if that episode was around when I was eight (despite the fact that my sister is not a ginger).

Aw, no worries about 21. My fault for having all these different projects going at the same time. I can't even keep them straight anymore. Before I sit down to write, I always have to reread my last few chapters of whatever... :(

"He always did break the silences" - I love this line, it's lovely :o)

Oh boy, Piper's in trouble now... I wonder what Mark was up to at this point of DC continuity. No good, obviously, but why go to the trouble of kidnapping Piper? This is ominous :/

Great job! :o]

Thanks! You'll see what I'm getting at with Mark and the kidnapping in the next chapter. I was doing a reread of Geoff Johns' first Flash run the other day, and something jumped out at me (that I completely forgot to make reference to up until this point). Blacksmith's network, which is frequently used by the Rogues. At one point, it's brought up that Piper never told Wally about this serious criminal operation going down on his turf, and the idea is tossed out that Piper must have been hypnotized into forgetting about it once he became a good guy.

But I thought that idea was a little weak, so I'm expanding on it ^^
