I already posted a comment on ff.net but the fic looked lonely here, so I'm posting again...I love this story, I love the whole universe you've created and I really wish the Rogue love was still happening in canon. I kinda felt bad for Tricks with the others all talking smack about him behind his back. It is really, really hard to deal with a loved one when they're suffering from mental illness and it's not fair to judge someone for not being able to handle it. I hope Piper comes to understand this and that Tricks and him can be happy again. I'm a little scared since you said you're sticking to canon but I'll keep my fingers crossed!

i just saw your comment on ff.net and responded to it, thanks :) your enthusiasm for my fic-verse is really flattering. i'm glad james came out sympathetic still. my goal was to make piper and james at odd with each other while still having them appear justified to the reader (yay conflict!)

and to be fair, i'm sure the smack talk would come to his face too ;)

hahaha good point about the smack talk! The Rogues love to toss insults at each other...but all in good fun...well most of the time ;) I liked the fact that you gave us both Piper's and Trickster's perspectives. I also liked that Piper wasn't just a victim or something, but was slowly getting back to his old self- thanks to the Rogues!

Curse you and your riveting realism! *cries* I do have to say, however, I really, really love the boys being there for Piper. They've sort of taken that away from us in canon and I've missed it so.

i like approaching the rogues-as-family thing as a bit of a balancing act. if they're too devoted to each other, then i think they lose some of that charming arrogant selfishness that makes them enjoyable villains, but then something that sets them apart from other supervillains is how they hang out, party, and watch each other's backs.

glad you're still reading despite my angst ;) (which should be drying up soon! i'm about to introduce wally and he's pretty much the opposite of angst)

Yes, but you're following canon! Which means you introduce a lovely anti-angst engine and then rip him away in the cruelest manner imaginable!!! *cries harder*

now i so have to find an excuse for one of the characters to refer to wally as an anti-angst engine XD
