*bows* Now that is awesome. I really like the parallels you drew here. The research shows and makes a very rich story. The use of the butterflies and the opera are really great here. (an aside, one of my favorite songs as a teenager was Malcolm McLaren's Madame Butterfly. )

Hee- to be honest I was more a ballet attendee as a kid. But I listened to a number of the songs before deciding.
The prompt seemed so tough but interesting I thought about it and I'm not a fan of researching but it felt necessary.
Luckily I have a folder filled with only the highlights of Tricks, Piper moments from countdown to lessen it a bit.
Thank you! -goes to click link-

Anyway, I LOVE THIS and the reearch really really DOES show. It's so wonderfully put together! I love how all the elements flowed and came together as though it was meant to be.
I also just know that someone somewhere in that universe is making 'fairy' jokes. XD
This was awesome. I'm in awe of how you pulled this together!
Annnnd you used my favorite butterfly ;)

I think there is a distinct possibility Len is thinking them, and the rest are saying them.
thank you! and I love them too, I just needed to check whether they worked and voila!

Love the musical references!
And yes, I spotted the Simpsons reference^^
From where exactly was that panel again?

that being said I am fairly certain that panel is from the issue of count down with the desperate desert Hartley on the cover, it is just before he reaches the oasis and does the cutting off of the hand bit after dunking James headfirst into the water and fighting with his voice.
