I honestly wouldn't know enough about how to fix this. You tried calling a lawyer and seeing if you have a case? That seems like the best option to me :P Cause you are really getting screwed over and this woman deserves some wrath

She does but I don't want to bring it to court. It takes too much time, stress, effort, and money. -_- And she knows this, I bet.

I'll try to get in touch with a friend who's studying law, see what he says.

what you should of done in the contract is you should of had somewhere where it prevented this kind of shit... like in the contract it would say... if so and so happens to withhold housing or go against the contract than the contract could say that there's a thousand dollar penalty or something... i donno i'm just thinking, i don't know if thaey do that in real contracts but really you can put anything in a contract as long as both parties agree... i studied a little bit about contracts in business law

That'd be nice but I wasn't thinking she'd pull off something like this. It's ridiculous.

you can go to SMALL CLAIMS COURT look that up on google and within your area... it is free and can cover up to 7,500$ worth in losses... you don't need a lawyer... and if you're sure you don't want to go to court, go through the process any way and make bluff and if you happen to go to court, it's worth it... you can't lose... and she know it and probably give you the appartment...

I don't want the apartment. I just want my money back.
