I used to love picking up old magazines at the antique store near my grandparents house. Copies of Life, Look, Vogue and Cosmopolitan, some from the 1930's and 40's! The ads were so wild. I still remember one for Players cigarettes that said something about how healthy it was and how nicotine cools your blood and aids in digestion.

They weren't still trying to do that by the 1970s, even if they were still denying cigarettes caused cancer, it was more of a "lifestyle" thing. "These will make you look cool and irresistible to chicks!"

There also used to be a lot of ready-made foods that are no longer available. Like there was a whole line of pre-mixed cocktails that Gypsy Rose Lee was the spokesperson for. And Thomas' used to sell a whole range of toaster breakfast items, not just English muffins.

He's been wearing adult diapers for a while now, so there's not much actual "clean up". But she is the one who has to talk him (or rather yell him) through the changes, which is why I even though I "won" the argument I woke up thinking I should leave it up to her. But I think she still wants him back on the meds--she was super upset that he didn't know who she was--so we're going to try regular doses of Imodium to see if that helps.
