I'm certainly more optimistic since Biden stepped aside. I really like what he's done for the country, but I do think his age was starting to tell. Whose doesn't by that age? Hopefully the media will follow Stephen Colbert's decision: no more Biden old-age jokes. Now, just Trump old-age jokes!

Optimism: She's already managed to fundraise a LOT this week, especially from POC, so hopefully she'll have some momentum there.
Pessimism: She's still a woman and she's still a POC and there is still this nasty, wealthy, infiltrative, WASPy establishment that will use every ounce of influence and pull and $$$ to cling to power and continue taking from Americans, as it has traditionally done.

Not sure how it will turn out, obviously I very badly would like to have President Harris, but I also think our country is SUCH garbage and the people ACTUALLY running this country do not have the peoples' interests at heart whatsoever.

I'm with you. Things feel a bit more optimistic and my hope is that this energy will carry through the next few months to the election.
