We don't have today off from work, although we may have a day or two off in the middle of the week if they wind up closing the office due to the low temperatures. hardly anybody makes homemade donuts! I bet yours are amazing!

This makes me want to buy King Arthur flour except I can't do much baking now because of my diet.

I learned the hard way about hygroscopy after moving to Florida...first when I made soft pretzels and made the mistake of adhering the salt the day before we wanted to eat them (It was magically "gone" the next morning lol), and then after making muffins with a decorative coarse sugar topping which also magically disappeared AND then the muffins got moldy within 48 hours from being absolutely saturated :p Now if I make any kind of high-sugar dessert, like my caramels or a baked item with a sugared topping, directly into the fridge it goes!
