I finally got around to listening to Slowdive's new-ish album everything is alive. (Neither the album title nor the song titles have capitalization for some reason.) I didn't love it. I am not super into much of the new indie music this past year or so. I really thought the pandemic was going to bring uber creativity out of everyone, so maybe I expected too much? I dunno. Even my mainstays, like The National and The Black Angels were a little disappointing to me this year. Maybe I'm just getting too old?

I don't really follow new music as much as I used to. Fiona Apple and Washed Out both released good albums in 2020, but those must have been mostly recorded before the pandemic.
