Self-care Saturday

Had a relatively lazy Saturday, something there won't be much of for the rest of the year. But it's both cold and rainy today, a rare combo in south Louisiana where rain usually means humid weather, which usually translates to warmth. I’ve lived my whole life where it gets super cold (until last June). If you’re used to heat, 47 *is* a shock to the system, though (as I’m learning on my road trip this week).

I'm not used to heat, though. I didn't grow up in the south, I grew up in Alameda County, California. Except for a brief heat wave at the end of the summer, it was almost never very hot or cold, and the humidity was always right in the middle. It's left me woefully unprepared to deal with either extreme.
