I make a concerted effort to not follow the news during the weeks I spend at the condo. I assume someone will text me if the nukes get launched or something (ha ha that used to be a joke about me being a Gen Xer and is no longer entirely a joke), but I don't read any of my usual news sources. Yeah, you don't remember that? It was apparently some fraternity--or whatever they call them in Great Britain--thing and not something that really had any present-day relevance, so it got dropped pretty quickly. There were a lot of jokes about its resemblance to an episode of Black Mirror but it didn't end his career or anything (Brexit took care of that).
