Don't worry about it, I subscribe to the Eleanor Roosevelt school of philosophy that says people need your permission to disrespect you, and this douchebag definitely did not have it. I mostly mention it here because I like to puncture the southern self-mythology about how fucking polite they are. I've lived here 12 years now; you ever encounter a southerner who claims people from the south are more polite than other kinds of Americans, you can laugh in their lying faces.
