If you would like to participate in the Pinn & Kinn Big Bang as an artist, please comment to this post with your username, email address, and a description of your anticipated media type. For more information about participating in the Puckurt Big Bang as an artist, read our FAQ and Rules.

Artist Sign Ups begin on July 20 and run through October 1.

The PKBB accepts all types of fanart, fanmixes, and fanvids. Definitions/descriptions of various types of fanart may vary by fandom, so the following list will describe each art type (as the terminology will be used in this bang) and what each art type entails:

  • Graphics are designs and text that do not include picture of the actors in or out of character and which are not digital drawings of the characters/settings. Artists submitting a graphics package should include a header/banner image in at least two sizes which includes the story's correct title and the author's name; a cover/poster that can be used on AO3 or FF.net (please consult with your author about where they plan to post); section divider(s) or chapter header(s) appropriate for the work.

  • Manips are graphics which incorporate pictures of the actors in or out of character. They can be static (like a movie poster) or animated (GIFs). Artists submitting a manips package should include:
    • A header/banner image in at least two sizes which includes the story's correct title and the author's name and a cover/poster that can be used on AO3 or FF.net (please consult with your author about where they plan to post)
    • OR

    • A header/banner image in at least two sizes which includes the story's correct title and the author's name and an animated gif set.

  • Fanmixes are playlists made to accompany a story, and which are compatible with the story in tone or theme. Artists submitting a fanmix should include a downloadable (not 8tracks) mix of at least five songs with front cover art that includes the correct title of the story and back cover art that includes a tracklist.

  • Traditional art is a drawing or painting created using a traditional medium like pencil, colored pencil, oil pastels, water color, or oil paint. Artists submitting traditional artwork should include 2+ pieces of artwork, though that may include one traditional drawing and one header/cover art piece.

  • Digital art is a drawing or painting created using a digital program like Photoshop. Artists submitting digital artwork should include 2+ pieces of artwork, though that may include one traditional drawing and one header/cover art piece.

  • Fanvids are short videos (usually set to music) that use footage of the actors in or out of character to tell a story or portray a theme. Artists submitting fanvids should include at least one video of at least a minute in length that is relevant to the story. Fanvids should be posted to YouTube.

  • Combo art packages include art pieces in two or more of the above styles, such as digital art + manips, graphics + fanmix, etc. Feel free to combine art styles as best suits you and your author! If you have any questions about the number of pieces your combo art package style should entail, please contact the mods.

There is no maximum number of pieces, however; please feel free to create as many as you would like!
