Since you havent read it and consequently had no idea what I was referring to, and assume others wont either:
"It is impossible to say how first the idea entered my brain; but once conceived, it haunted me day and night. Object there was none. Passion there was none. I loved the old man. He had never wronged me. He had never given me insult. For his gold I had no desire. I think it was his eye! yes, it was this! He had the eye of a vulture --a pale blue eye, with a film over it. Whenever it fell upon me, my blood ran cold; and so by degrees --very gradually --I made up my mind to take the life of the old man, and thus rid myself of the eye forever." ("The Tell Tale Heart" by Edgar Allan Poe)
Although that eye isnt filmy... it is huge and reminds me of the story quite intensely. Love you crazy, old, man-murder victim! :D
UGH! That's awful! I love Poe but he had some serious issues. Isn't that the story where he buries him in the floorboards of the house but he keeps thinking he's hearing the old mans heart beat? And it ends up freaking him out so much that he turns himself in and confesses it to the police? Soooo creepy... ever read the one about the black cat? That's a weirded out one too.
taht is the story and i have read the one about the black cat...when it attacked the police man or something after it was buried in the wall by the pyscho man!
Hey be nice to Eddie!! I love that guy... His twistedness makes the literature all the more interesting!! haha, no one wants to read 20 page stories filled with fancy diction and elevated concepts without some really cool/bizarre things happening. :) QUOTH THE RAVEN "NEVERMORE!"
