Eleanor’s Gift, part 2
Eleanor's gift.
Castiel and Crowley's reconciliation was a charade with the Demon King all smiles and lies. Castiel gave nothing away when Crowley announced that he was sending minions to Bobby Singer's home to capture Dr Eleanor Visyak. It had taken him a day later than he wished and he blamed the angel standing in front of him.
He gave a heads up to Balthazar to monitor the attack and if they were successful in capturing Eleanor to follow. Balthazar did as asked with bad grace. Castiel had pulled him away from much more pleasurable pursuits much to the annoyance of the wayward angel.
While not being able to stop Eleanor being taken inside Crowley's new digs, it did mean that Balthazar learnt that Raphael had taken a leaf out of Castiel's book and seemed to be dealing with Crowley. Balthazar made a quick head count of the forces demonic and angel around the compound before slipping quietly away and back to Singer's Salvage yard.

Bobby, Sam and Dean stood looking at the Hel-hound devouring the demon meat-suits when Dean's phone rang and caller ID said it was Cas. He hit speaker and answered.
”Cas. Do you know anything about a giant hellhound running around Bobby's backyard?” he asked.
”Oh, that's Garm. Hel's hound. Didn't I tell you she offered it as extra protection?” Cas said.
”No. Cas you didn't. Hel's hound - good to know. Why are you calling?” Dean smirked watching the others do likewise.
”If Crowley hasn't taken Dr Visyak he will soon. I've asked Balthazar to follow them when this happens. I would hope you have the spell before she arrives. If not I will try to relieve her suffering as best I can.” Cas said and then hung up.
”Jesus fuck, Cas?” Dean spluttered into the phone.
Bobby heard enough and turned back to the house faster than either Sam or Dean had seen the old man move in decades. Sam and Dean followed quickly with the horrible feeling they were too late. They were right.
Bobby stood in the empty kitchen with a paper in one hand and jar of what looked like blood in the other. ”She's gone. Left us this,” Bobby's voice shook with emotion as he shakily handed Sam the spell and let Dean take the jar from his other hand before he dropped it on the floor. He collapsed onto the closest chair and hung his head in his hands. Sam read the note attached to the spell.
Bobby,
I'm leaving. Whatever you say about my being safe with you and the boys, and I do believe here I would be safer than most places, Castiel and Crowley will still torture others until they get what they want. You know this.
The Demon is unrelenting and the Angel's choices mean he has no choice but to follow through - change of mind or not. I'm giving you and the boys a chance and taking a chance that you will not abuse my trust and affection.
You will need the blood of a virgin and the blood of a creature of purgatory. The former you'll have to get on your own, the latter I leave in your care.
Like all powerful spells it is magnified during a total eclipse. This is when Castiel and Crowley will perform it. I pray that you are the first, but I don't know how a mortal or even an immortal will contain, let alone control us.
On the back is my bank account and access code. You might as well use the funds, you're in for one hell of a battle. Good Luck.
Fondest regards,
Eleanor.
”A virgin's blood, that'll have to be your job Sam. I haven't known a virgin since I lost my own virginity.” Dean joked. Sam flipped him off and Bobby wasn't amused. Dean rolled his eyes and got them all a beer. They drank in silence for a good five minutes before Bobby moved towards his desk.
He rustled through a couple of draws before finding what he'd been looking for. Then he cleared a place amongst the books and lore texts, reached for the phone and rang the Saint Benedict's Monastery in St.Joseph, Minnesota. Dean and Sam moved into the room and found a seat.
”Hello, my name is Robert Singer. Does Sister Martha Louise Hollis still live at the convent?” Bobby asked. There was a long pause in the conversation before Bobby got an answer.
”Thank you. Is she allowed visitors? Yes, I am a friend of her late cousin Pastor Jim Murphy....Yes, dreadful loss... Good, yes, I have pen and paper...Thank-you very much and God Bless You Sister Mavis.” Bobby hung up and looked up. ”Got the Virgin Blood.”
”Sister Martha Louise was a cousin of Paster Jim's?” Dean raised an eyebrow and shook his head.
”Ellie said nothin' about age and unless you can find a virgin in the next 72 hours, I'm gonna pay Sister Martha Louise a visit.” Bobby grumbled throwing wallet, keys and weaponry into a duffle.
”See you boys soon. Try not to get yourselves or that fool angel killed before I return.” Bobby said and walked out the door.
Dean and Sam watched as he walked to the truck. He fell to the ground about three feet from the door and Dean and Sam were down the stairs and by his side guns at the ready. A low growl sounded from above Bobby.
”Put your guns down, stupid mutt is licking me to death.” Bobby shook slobber from himself and got up. ”I gather this is Garm? Make yourselves known so he don't eat you.”
Dean and Sam holstered their guns and held their hands palm outwards. Hot stinking breath and slobber was spread across their palms and then disappeared.
”Don't die and don't drink my whiskey,” Bobby said and backed out in a cloud of dust.
