Just wanted to comment back to you. The smilies that are in my journal were downloaded from bouncy-bubbles.net I believe. She has a section of different smilies that can be downloaded. All I did was download them, then unzipped them, and uploaded them to my photobucket account. Then I used the img src tag to put them in my blog. Hope that answered your question. :-)

If you want me to, I can give you the code to mine, and you can play around with it. The reason why I'm suggesting that, is because I don't exactly remember how I did it. I got the code from a tutorial site, and I don't remember where. Let me know, and I can email it to you, or I can post it in a comment or something. :-)
