It was very very VERY nice. ;) You seem to have a thing for passing and stuff, don't you? ;)

The Die breathing into his nape, sleeping in the car and Shinya at 84 seeing young Die, gorgeous bastard as he is now, the young Die, with long-long red hair, a memory because it is what that Die is even now, and Shinya's peace when he comes... And like all we have gonna be just a memory soon....

I love it.

I should stop slacking off now, go back to projects.

i've had this on hold for a very long time. i think it was last july that i wanted to write it after stumbling over that picture, but the story didn't really come past a few words and some descriptions. In a sense the die_shinya advent calender sort of forced me to come up with something and i'm glad i did. sometimes these challenges are good when they happen, especially in dry and unmoving times in the fandom or personal writer mindspace

thank you :)

Thanks! I like how a lot of your stories seem to be so experimental stylewise.

This had a very calm feeling and I love how his last memories seem to be memories of Die and bits and pieces of their life together, that just shows the love.
How that story is somewhat his favourite memory even if it's not his own but a story that Die loved to tell and so it becomes shared memory.

while the room smelt of winter and early morning with the windows open.
This is seriously one of my favourite smells ever so that part was very vivid, and a wonderful contrast towards the shared warmth underneath sheets.

It feels like sunset, calm and orange, and floating above water.
It makes you wonder and wish that dying would feel that way, maybe an image connected to one of your favourite memories or stories.

thank you. they're not, not really, just maybe me sometimes rehashing ideas or things from other fandoms, being inspired by other things. it's not that hard to do and i wish more would do it but alas they don't. it's fun to play with form and style and composition, it really is. breaking out of the usual. it has its charm and challenge. sometimes they can also mask some inability to produce something substantial (as it happens with my stuff every now and then haha), but generally speaking it's an interesting toolkit :)

i like memory and the process of it. how we keep things, what we choose to keep, why our minds choose to keep some things and dismiss others, forever losing them, erasing them. how we flourish and keep adding or substracting to it and how memory is never really the truth, not even when we try to be the most exact. it's subjective. and can never re-create that moment it stores. i like memory

one of my favorite smells too yes :D

thank you for the lovely words as usual and for picking up on things :)
