Yo,

artlink.org.

Brooklyn is where the kids who pretend to be poor go, and Manhattan is where all the kids who pretend to be rich go. Queens = multiculturalism, the Bronx, hell I don't know. Forget all 'bout s. island and Jersey City, no matter what you hear. I would go west at this point, but this is the center of art and culture. Make sure you subscribe to the times and the new yorker. I've heard whispers that this is the place that you want to be, and I could use another friend my age.

I'll tell you more when you get here.

I'm in New York working at an arts nonprofit. Off the top of my head, I know the Guggenheim is hiring an administrative assistant, and my job is hiring a Development Director, but that would require a good deal of experience raising money & having corporate relations exp. Idealist is decent; I'd also create a "favorites" list online of museums and other arts nonprofits that you like and just check in every week (or more). ALSO check out the "Foundation Center" online, which sends out a job newsletter every week of so. I think it might be pnd.org or something. If you're interested, I'm happy to help! I'm also looking for a new apartment this month, but I know that's short notice for a move!

I miss you and hope you are well. Feel free to email me (lzmathews@yahoo.com).

Good luck!
