Dreamweaver...?

Jun 19, 2009 10:01

I'm applying for a job that says you need to be able to use Dreamweaver... I have never used it, but am I correct in assuming that it's just like a HTML editor type thing?

Is it difficult to learn how to use it, and would it be a big deal that I haven't used it, seeing as I normally just write all my code by hand?

Questions, questions!

Some people would say it is cheating to use programs such as Dreamweaver but a lot of companies use it as it speeds up code writing and also allows multiple people to be working on the same site/project at the same time.

Writing code by hand is the only way - I learnt HTML by watching someone else write it, on Notepad.

I'd use Kate, but that's not hardcore enough for some. On Kubuntu there is no equivalent of Notepad, but that'd be the next step in hardcoreness. Then, it progresses through emacs and vi, finishing with cat...
