This sprang from a rant on fanficrants about the overproliferation of vampire fics in non-vampire fandoms. Someone said "it's all Twilight's fault, isn't it?" and someone else said that they hope that Twifans didn't drag some of the stupid concepts from that awful series into their fandom, as the two lead characters wouldn't take too kindly to the "sneak in

I'm not in very big or very popular fandoms, but I've seen a proliferation of vampire fics in non-vampire fandoms even before Twilight came out, which I usually blamed either on Anne Rice novels or BtVS/Angel.

(Also, I've just realized that I know you as eleutheria on JF - I was checking back in some of your tags and found your entry about your crazy stalker person thing. I'm cinnamonical on JF, although I lurk more than I post.)
