SQUEE!

I am anxious, for I'm having the tooth surgery on Tuesday. It's apparently a much simpler deal than the extraction/bone grafting horror I had last year, will last an hour, then I'll go to bed, then have somewhere between 2-4 weeks of recovery time. It will likely hurt, a LOT. Then in 8 months they futz with the temporary tooth and put in the real ( Read more... )

Ouch, my sympathies, it makes my complaining about my impending filling all the tame. I'm glad you'll have pain management methods aka shoot things on the screen as well as the good drugs.

DC Comics/Sony are trying to tempt me into the world of the console games with their DC Universe game. Somehow I doubt my PC will up to snuff without a few massive upgrades. The alternative would be getting a Playstation 3. *sighs*

Are you sure it's only out for PS3? Because damn, that would suck. There just isn't a huge catalog of stuff out for PS3 vs. Xbox 360 or Wii, and PS3 costs considerably more. But you're absolutely right, there's no way your computer would be able to run it barring quite probably a complete replacement. I question whether upgrading graphics card and whatnot alone would do it-- it's why so many game makers are moving away from PC. The PS3 is having some issues, though, with distinctiveness. It has Blueray and HD, for people who have those things, but otherwise... meh. And it just lost its exclusive Final Fantasy content, as that'll also be out for Xbox. Not that it means anything to you if you're buying it for an exclusive release. That's how we ended up with both our Xboxes (KOTOR and Halo 3, respectively, both XB-exclusives). It just means that if you get it and want to expand beyond that game, your options are pretty limited ( ... )

As of right now, the DC Universe online game is PC or PS3 only. I don't know if they'll expand it to Xbox or not, since the game's made by Sony and they obviously want to drive more people to Playstation. *sighs* It won't be out for awhile, so I'll wait and see what the technical requirements are when it's released. It's frustrating, because I've liked what I've seen of that game far more than the Mortal Kombat vs DC one, which'll be a Xbox360/PS3 release.

I'm really hoping the filling solves part of the problem. I may revisit muscle relaxants with the dentist again. It's been awhile since we tried them the last time.

Enjoy your new canon. I look forward to being introduced properly to Battlefront and other games.
