This actually sounds quite familiar, being weighed down by such doubts and being confronted with them especially when you are sick. Still, seeing the messages literally seems like quite a bad hallucination. You described the emotional turmoil really well, I liked this.

Thanks! I'm glad that you liked it. I really wanted it to come off as if Donna was on drugs and was in emotional turmoil. For me these doubts feel heavy on the body and mind as if it were the flu or something.

You get really creative with your imagery as well as with the world you're making. I'm impressed by your world building skills. Word stars sound really cool, and dark. I'd love to see more build up to what is going on and then more aftermath of what happens too. Keep writing!

Oh wow! Thanks! This means the world to me. I definitely think that I don't do so great with the world building. I find myself jumping in writing scenes with my characters with little thought as to the world they inhabit and their circumstance.

I will definitely take your advice and start to flesh out the background and the aftermath. I guess that it is the only way that I'd get better :)
