★ 2014-2015 COUNTDOWN ★

Jan 01, 2015 12:31

NOTE: I was using binoculars for most of the show, which made my field of vision a liiiittle bit narrow. So even though there were many groups at Countdown, it became T&T/NEWS/KinKi Countdown for me, and this report definitely reflects that.

I did go! My incredibly sweet friend introduced us to friends of hers with extra tickets, so it was a semi-last-minute kind of decision to go. :)

NEEEEEEWWWWWSSSSSS!!! They were so great! I'm so proud of them. ;____; They just keep getting better and better at their four-person dynamic and I'm so happy they were given a second third fourth chance. ♡

your chosen range of vision is awesome! XDD

this is a very nice way to start the new year. i was caught by surprise when i knew about them not airing the Countdown on TV this year yesterday night.. i was hoping to see T&T together. ;_; but i guess they have their own reasons and reading your report made me feel as though i was there. hehe.

i totally adore how Tsubasa have Takki and Tsuyo on each side. ♥♥

Tegoshi is hilarious i wish more people would see it. KinKi Kids, especially Tsuyo, are always so fond of TegoMassu whenever they came on Domoto Kyoudai. it's cute. XD

thanks a lot for this! hope 2015 will be a good year for everyone. if that revenge concert happens this year, i'm going to try my hardest to attend!

Why thank you! :D

I don't know the details but I know Fuji TV and J&A had some kind of quarrel, so J&A pulled Fuji TV from Countdown (or Fuji TV refused to air it? Not sure which). Shame, too. I quite liked this one, for biased reasons. ♡

Ahh, yes!! I loved Tegomass on Domoto Kyoudai! It was a lot of fun watching those two duos interact. I hope KinKi get another show like SDK soon - Japanese TV has nothing appealing to me now that SDK, Heyx3, and Nakai's better shows (Utaban, Coming Soon) are gone. ...To be fair, there's TOKIO. :D/ TOKIO always saves the day. ♡

Or maybe if they'd give T&T a show...

I'm certain we'll have that revenge tour this year! Every time Tsubasa's anywhere he's been talking about it. XD He mentioned it three times on his first radio show of the New Year. He talked about it during Countdown, and then last night when he was interviewed for Playzone. He's a man on a mission, this one. ★

Ahhh I really want to watch the NY countdown, will it be uploaded somewhere?

Glad to see Tsubasa back on stage with Tackey. And the "Tsubasa broke my TV" story never gets old. That and "Tsubasa forgot his wallet". Though Tsubasa mentioned that Tackey has a habit of exaggerating things (and telling them tens of times). Like with the TV, he only broke the wire, but as the story is told and retold, he makes it sounds like Tsubasa broke the whole TV set. As with the wallet, Tsubasa once forgot his wallet, he said he genuinely forgot the wallet that time. But when Tackey tells the story, he makes it sounds like Tsubasa intentionally leaving his wallet. And though it only happened once, Tackey makes it sounds like it occurs a lot of time XD

I really miss stories like this. I wonder why Johnny never give Tackey and Tsubasa a variety show of their own like other groups. Anyway a nice start to 2015, and I hope I can see more of Tackey&Tsubasa this year :)

Sadly, Countdown wasn't broadcast this year! There's a small, small chance that maybe it was recorded for DVD, but I'm not sure yet. It's just a hopeful theory of mine. ♡

Both of those stories are great. XD He's been whining less about Takki's propensity to exaggerate stories in the last several years, so maybe he's stopped. ... Or Tsubasa's just doesn't see the point in complaining about it anymore. XD

I've talked about this with friends (Japanese and non-Japanese) and I think what we can all agree on is that T&T wouldn't be great at hosting a variety show. Tsubasa's pretty shy around new people, and T&T both have a tendency to forget other people are around when they're on camera together. Unless they're with senpai, in which case they're both very well-behaved and Tsubasa acts like a giddy puppy.

But I really, really would love to see them in a travel show. Just send them to random places and film the reactions. They were adorable in the London video they filmed! More like that!

My pleasure! :)

So far none of the wideshows have had a clear shot of them holding hands, so this has become the main reason I want a DVD of this year's Countdown. XD Must have that shot. Tsubasa took his hand from when the countdown hit 4 and he was holding it til well after the Happy New Year part. ♡

I'm still not sure if I had watched that with Kisumai basically being left out, but now reading your report I probably would give it a try for all the T&T rabu (and skip the rest ww). They're so adorable together, I missed them so much ;~; I'm glad you got to see all of that! For me I think it wouldn't have felt that bitter to watch only T&T, so that's a really good thing (I wanted to see some Kisumai/senpai interactions, boo ;;).

Thanks for the report <3

They were pretty raburabu considering they were surrounded by senpai! I thought the sweetest moments (apart from the handholding) were whenever Takki glanced to the side to check in on him or stood a little closer than he normally would. I think he's tasked himself with Tsubasa's physical safety whenever they're onstage from now 'til forever. XD
