Last weekend before the world got a little crazier, as it often does, at far too regular intervals, there was weekend in Auroville and Pondicherry. As usual there was food, surprisingly unphotographed (may I never commit such a slight again) and pretty sights. And I ran my first ever half marathon on a lovely trail inside Auroville (also

Thank you!:) Auroville ahs really chnaged alot since my last visit there many years ago. They seem a lot more open and welcoming now:o

The marathon was porganised by a group of runners there. 22.3 and 44K distances, all through some really beautiful trails inside the township. Very little road running, so really scenic. and the oprganisation was quite good...plenty of water stops and adequate water and food, and cyclists to help guide the way. Excellent for a first effort I thought.

Oh youmust go if you come towards Chennai. It's worth the visit,and the coats there is anyway quite nice... and not too crowded.
