I really do wish the best for you guys. You make great music, and you put on great shows. We need more bands like you.

Some family and even some friends think that I am going to Hell too. It doesn't worry me either. What worries me is how concerned people are about others beliefs, and not their own.

Thanks for the encouragement about the band! It's really nice to hear! :)

I totally agree with you - it's amazing how concerned people are with other people's beliefs, all the while overlooking themselves. It's just better to worry about yourself!

I know how it feels to try something new and have people reject it, however I have noticed that happens when I really haven't given something my all because I was nervous, or it was new or whatever the case may be. BUT when I am 100% confident with what I am showing to the world (I am comparing my performance art with the band if you haven't figured that out yet...) I DEFINITELY notice a difference in the response from an audience. I don't think the band has reached that point yet, being completely 100% comfortable with things. Remember how towards the end of the Dietrichs run you were playing shows to a good group of kids? You guys ALL felt comfortable with what you were playing and the crowd could tell that you were so they were even more into it! You would dance more on stage and have fun with the crowd, that's what you have to do! You have to be willing to look like silly sometimes on stage and have fun and you will SEE the response change from the crowd! I know that you guys can do it, I know YOU can do it! I definitely agree with you, and no, you didn't offend me at all! It's hard to be motivated by an example like The Gossip, because I think they blow, HAHA, but even more of a reason to be motivated by them, right? I mean, if someone can blow and still be popular, then obviously their confidence is getting them somewhere.
I think starting over has been hard, and trying to get away from the sound of the Dietrichs, and the comparison.
I know we'll find out niche and our voices. I know I'll find the place where I'm comfortable again, and I know a lot of it is in my head. I think it'll just take me being really proud of the new stuff we're doing, and the confidence comes along with that. Like you said, I can fake it until then. That's what I've been doing all along! :)
Your support is invaluable to all of us - hope you know that

Man, I'd kiss you on the mouth if you were here right now! Once we get the EP done, I'll send it to you. Don't feel bad about reminding me, if I forget. I tend to do that sometimes, but I'll try my best not to! THANK YOU FOR BEING SO NICE!!
