I started working on this about 3 months ago, completely forgot about it and thought I’d lost it in the first laptop crash of 2008, but I was wrong, it survived!!!!! I was actually smart enough to save it to disk for once :p ( Read more... )

honey I love your "who cares if other people don't like it" attitude. :) It's the thing that frustrates me with LIMS and elite comms the most... it's as though individual style doesn't mean a damn thing - everything should look like everything else. I say "MEH!" to that! :)

Lolz, I fail at LIMS!!!! All I can do is cropping and coloring but for some weird reason people prefer creative, but extremely sharp/grainy/fugly colored icons to somewhat simpler, yet more natural looking icons *shrugs*

oh that's hilarious because whenever i try and get creative, i FAIL. :) I only ever get ahead in LIMS if I go for the super-duper natural colouring with a decent creative crop - but not too creative. :)

funny...

Amazing guide!
Unfourtunately, I started out using tutorials so I'm a little bit scared of using the select coloring and color balance on my own.
I learnt a few things by playing around with them, but thankfully there are guides like yours to help you know what the tools do.
I am starting to make colorings by myself without any tutorials as bases and this help me a lot (especially the color balance tip ;)

Thank you so much for taking the time to make this!

Tutorials aren't all that bad, I'm just talking about the ones that only use 2 images, a before and after, and the rest's just a whole bunch of numbers, I hate those!

If you need more help, let me know and I'll see what I can do :d

Not at all! I'm a tutorial junkie to be honest; but as a begginer they were a lot help but also I was tied to make that coloring which will never work for all pictures, you know?

The tools I don't know what they do and I just play with the different settings are the level and curves tool...
