He was kinda tired of working as a spy. Being a spy means he can't have a functioning, happy relationship with Erin.
The hood's alien gypsy Matchmaker came with a genie lamp. Sadly, I cannot wish for John to enter Architecture ASAP XD
He was stuck being a spy for the whole rotation.
He was tired of it.
Yet he still wrote about that notorious old lady from Strangetown district.
