A question though *mostly because I'm a nerd* There's a section in here where Jon identifies himself as gay. And I'm curious as to when the word gay changed terminology from happy to mean the more modern definition?(Not that I'm hacking your use of it here......I'm just very very curious...you should see me when I watch historical movies I like and eye roll when the characters make hollywood speeches)

Cassie, I really liked this!!! I really like the way you managed to integrate parts of the boys' personalities (as we know them) into the story without them being out of place (Jon and the kitty, Brendon and music, Ryan and his srs bzns art). I also really liked that even though this is all from Jon's perspective, we get a really solid feel of Tom.
Plus I love Tomrad in general, sooooooooo, not a surprise? :D :D :D
(Sidenote: I didn't actually read the pairings in the fic, so I was soooooooooo surprised at the Jon/Tom/Ryan! I figured it'd be all UST-y and angsty. TOMRAD LOVES JWALK SO MUCH HE WANTS TO HAVE ALL THE HOT SEX) )

I really really love the way that you wrote Jon in this, the way that he's. He's just amazing in it, and such a beautifully written character, on top of everything. The setting is delightful, the way that Jon just pulls all these people to him.
I really enjoyed reading about Tom from Jon's perspective and then actually getting to see Tom as a main character was lovely! You did such a fantastic justice to all of these guys, and it was beautifully rendered.

As for your question. I did look for note of the terminology and sadly found nothing helpful so that might very well non-time appropriate.
