Jaaaaack! Man, that was a good read. You write with a certain amount of restraint, even when you're describing deeply emotional things, so the story stays true, as opposed to melodramatic or out of character... Bravo.

Aw, this was lovely.

I know I didn't use capitals this time, but it didn't seem appropriate. You got Jack's heartache but also his resignation down perfectly. And I think 'The Evil Weevils' will have to be my team name if I'm ever in a pub quiz.
