I understand the creepy factor, but poor little bat!!! Why didn't you/he just open a window?

I live in a very old house...the windows don't open. And I dont think we could have got him all the way to the other end of the house to the door...and it was the middle of the night.. and I just wanted him dead!!!

That's like the time a bat got into my bedroom in Boston! But my encounter occurred when I was awake, at least. Definitely a hilarious story after the fact, despite me feeling bad for the poor, traumatized bat. ;-)

P.S. I later learned that to coax a bat down from the ceiling, you're supposed to throw an object into the air and the bat will supposedly circle down and follow it. Then you can throw something over the bat to catch it.
